On Friday 3rd June  IBM released their latest version of their flagship product under the WebSphere brand – Business Process Manager. This sees the coming together of the Process Server and Lombardi BPM product lines and has been eagerly awaited by the community.

 

But now the wait to see what it actually looks like is over and Axispoint have been downloading the software so that we can begin evaluation and familiarisation.

Axispoint  was once again invited to speak at IBM IMPACT as the UK's largest specialist BPM consultancyWe exhibited and gave a speech at the UK IMPACT conference on Thursday 19th May.

 

Following the success of IBM IMPACT in Las Vegas at the beginning of April, IBM has brought the IMPACT conference to the UK and Axispoint’s David Brakoniecki was asked again to share his unique practitioners perspective on BPM implementation.

Axispoint embarked on an engagement with University Hospital Birmingham early in 2010 to work with them to improve efficiencies across back office functions using a Lean approach and BPM (Business Process Management).  The strategy is to deliver a world class HR service to its 7,000 staff and UHB have a vision, which is in line with the latest NHS white paper, called me@UHB. This vision essentially uses IT as an enabler and is targeting moving the staff in to a self service environment to improve efficiencies across the board.
